Vision
As the weather gets colder and the holidays approach us, we are reminded that this season brings on many challenges for some members of our community. Housing and food insecurity have reached a frightening peak, and here at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic, we are working hard to protect and advocate for the well-being of at-risk community members who are experiencing these devastating effects.
Story
However, the year has not been without its challenges. Our legal information line has remained closed, and with limited resources, Legal Aid staff have struggled to provide our services to all those who require them. Renovictions are increasing, and without your support, these challenges will only grow in the new year.
Strategy
Community aid workers at Dal Legal Aid have worked tirelessly to create positive change right here in our communities. A few of our accomplishments include:
- Prevented the unlawful eviction of dozens of families
- Advocated for communities without access to potable drinking water
- Provided free legal advice to hundreds of Nova Scotia residents seeking assistance
Impact
You can make 2026 brighter for all. Please make a contribution to Dal Legal Aid today and help us improve the lives of Nova Scotians.
